Laura Caretti, Scientific Tutor -  è Preofessore di Storia del Teatro e delle Arti Performative presso l'Università di Siena. Direttrice della Scuola di Dottorato "Comparatistica: Letteratura, Teatro Cinema, e co-direttore di "Synapsis", Scuola Europea di Studi Comparativi, ha insegnato Letteratura Italiana nelle Università di Manchester e Edinburgo, e Letteratura Inglese all'Università di Roma 'La Sapienza'. Inoltre, è membro a vita del Clare Hall College (Cambridge). Collabora con molte importanti compagnie e istituzioni teatrali italiane  e a promosso festival di teatro e cinema femminili. Come membro del Comitato Internazionale Ibsen, ha organizzato e partecipato a molte conferenze su Ibsen. Ha scritto principalmente su Shakespeare e sul teatro moderno e contemporaneo (Ibsen, Pirandello, Eleonora Duse, Gordon Craig, Beckett, the Living Theatre, Stoppard), ponendo l'attenzione sul lavoro di attori e registi, sugli adattamenti e sull'interazione tra teatro e cinema.

Andrej Kurnik, Scientific Tutor - è Professore Associato di Politica delle Migrazione presso l'Università di Lubiana.

Tommaso Sbriccoli, Scientific Coordinator -  si occupa di antropologia politica e giuridica. Ha compiuto ricerche sul campo nell'Inida del nord a partire dal 2003, lavorando principalmente sulle comunità rurali e pastorali in Rajasthan sia per la tesi di laurea che per il dottorato. I suoi principali interessi riguardano le istituzioni e la giustizia tradizionali. Le sue ricerche si sono concentrate sulle relazioni tra sistemi legali tradizionali - intesi in senso ampio tanto da includere, per esempio, i rituali di possesione all'interno del campo legale come esempi di ricerca di giustizia da parte di categorie marginali di persone - legge e istituzioni statali, e concezioni sulla persona. Recentemente ha iniziato una ricerca sul campo in Italia sui rifugiati politici e la procedura di richiesta d'asilo, sviluppando con il semiologo Stefano Jacoviello una metodologia interdisciplinare di analisi del discorso e del testo, i cui risultati sono in fase di pubblicazione. Attualmente lavora all'Università di Siena e collabora all'interno di vari progetti di ricerca internazionali.

Susana Araújo is a researcher at the Centre for Comparative Studies (CEC, University of Lisbon). She taught and worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Sussex (UK) where she completed her PhD. She has an MA with Distinction from University of Warwick and first degree (1st class Hons) from the University of Lisbon. Her current project CILM (City and Insecurity in Literature and the Media) was recently approved for funding by FCT, following evaluation by international juri: it is concerned with the way anxieties about security are constructed and experienced in the urban space and has direct repercussions in the way we deal with issues such as migration and social exclusion. She edited a special issue of Review of International American Studies on the subject of “Terror and Security” (2008/2009) she co-edited the book TransAmerican, TransOceanic, Translation: Issues in American Studies (2010). Her articles appear in recognized journals such as Atlantic Studies, Symbiosis, Studies in the Novel, Women's Studies and she has a number of chapters published in books.

Kristian Van Haesendonck is researcher in comparative Latin American and Caribbean literatures in the Centre for Comparative Studies (CEC) at the University of Lisbon, where he teaches courses on Postcolonial theory and literature. Previously, he taught Spanish and Latin American Literature and Culture in the United States (Princeton, Villanova). He graduated in Romance Languages from the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium) and obtained his PhD in Latin American Literature from Leiden University (The Netherlands). He is the author of the book ¿Encanto o espanto? Identidad y nación en la novela puertorriqueña actual (Frankfurt-Madrid: Vervuert-Iberoamericana, 2008), a comparative study of contemporary Puerto Rican novels. He organized the 2009 International Conference Going Caribbean. New Perspectives on Caribbean Literature and Art at the University of Lisbon. He has published articles and book chapters on Caribbean culture and literature and is preparing the publication two volumes on comparative Caribbean literature (one in English, co-edited with Theo D´haen, to be published by Rodopi; a second, multilingual, volume will be published by Humus Editores).

Eva Dinis is currently participating in the international “Playing Identities” project as a scholarship researcher in the Centre for Comparative Studies in Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa (PT). She graduated from Universidade Nova de Lisboa with a degree in Portuguese and English Language and Literature, with a Minor in Translation Studies.  During that time she participated in the Erasmus Programme, and attended King’s College London (UK) for a year. She has recently completed her MA in Universidade de Lisboa, in the area of Portuguese Language and Culture, both with first-class honours. Her MA thesis focuses on the subjects of migration, identity, alterity and creolisation, and how they apply in two works of Lusophone literature, by Eça de Queirós and José Eduardo Agualusa. Her main areas of interest are Lusophone and Anglophone Literature, as well as Cultural and Identity Studies.

Stefano Jacoviello, è post-doc fellow in Semiotica all'Istituto Superiore di Scienze Umane (Firenze), e docente all'Università di Siena. I suoi interessi di ricerca intrecciano l'antropologia e la teoria dell'arte, al fine di sviluppare un approccio teorico agli oggetti culturali basato sull'analisi del testo della semiotica strutturale.

Francesca Montanino si è lauratea nel 2008 in Teatro e arti peformative all'Università di Roma “La Sapienza”- University of Rome”.  Attualmente sta svolgendo il terzo anno di dottorato in "Comparatistica: Letteratura, Teatro e Cinema, presso l'Università di Siena. La sua ricerca di dottorato riguarda "Il mercante di Venezia di Shakespeare nelle sue riscritture e messe in scena contemporanee. Negli ultimi anni ha lavorato come Aisstente alla regia, drammaturga e attrice in molte produzioni teatrali italiane. Ha curato due libri sulla regia teatrale nel teatro italiano contemporaneo. Tra i suoi interessi di ricerca vi sono il teatro italiano ed europeo del ventesimo secolo, le relazioni tra testo e performance, e le messe in scena di Shakespeare.

Nicola Perugini è Dottore in antropologia politica all'Università di Siena. La sua ricerca (2005-2009) si è concentrata sui diritti terrieri, le pratiche territoriali e le dinamiche storiche di riproduzione del potere e delle tradizionali relazioni di dipendenza in un area pastorale del Medio Atlante marocchino. Ha insegnato "Antropologia del Mediterraneo" e "Politica nel Medio Oriente" all'Università americana di Roma (2008-2009). Con le sue attuali ricerche sta esplorando la relazione tra colonialismo, legge e pratiche spaziali in Palestina, con un'attenzione particolare sia sulla nozione e le pratiche di frontiera coloniale (in collaborazione con l'Istituto "Decolonizing Architecture"), sia sull'uso che i coloni israeliani fanno del discorso dei diritti umani e delle sue tecniche legali. Attualmente è affiliato, come ricercatore indipendente, al Muwatin, l'Istituto palestinese per lo studio della democrazia. Ha tradotto "Il male minore" (2009) e curato con altri autori “Pianificare l’ oppressione” (2010). I suoi articoli sono stati pubblicati su riviste scientifiche italiane e su internazionali, quali "International Political Anthropology" e "Journal of Law and Social Research".


Michele Campanini obtained his Bachelor of Modern Literature, Music and Show Business at the University of Siena, at the same University he received a PhD in Comparative Studies: literature, theatre, cinema. He was in Denmark (Aarhus), Northern Ireland (Derry) and Canada (Toronto and Halifax) for research periods. He is a teacher of Italian Literature in high schools as well as contract professor of Italian language for foreign PhD students at Santa Chiara, Postgraduate Studies Centre at the University of Siena. As a curator of cultural events he worked as artistic director and organizer for Italian and foreigner institutions. Over the course of the last few years his research field is travel literature and migration, and he published essays and articles in Italy and Canada. He has just published (2010) the book Emigration accounts and renderings of Ocean Crossings. Memories, stories, voices (in Italian) with the Foundation Paolo Cresci for the History of Italian Migration.		  
Angelo Romagnoli è attore professionista. Si è laurato con lode in Filosofia e specializzato quindi  in Economia. Attualmente è dottorando in Scienze Cognitive all'Università di Siena, e porta avanti una ricerca in direzione della revisione della principali teorie della recitazione utilizzando le ultime scoperte delle neuroscienze e la nozione di agnecy nelle scienze economiche.
E' tra coloro che hanno sviluppato il progetto "Playing Identities", nel quale occupa il ruolo di Artistic and Scientific Advisor.
E' inoltre Junior Member del Centro Studi Sistemi Complessi (CSC) dell'Università di Siena sin dal 2003. Per il suo lavoro artistico ha ricevuto nel 2009 il Premio Vittorio Mezzogiorno.
